Let Peace Decide

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Colossians 3:15

During the course of life, we all are faced with situations where we’re uncertain which direction to go. We’re not talking about the choice to do good or to do evil. We know to follow that which is good. However, there are some choices where there isn’t a definitive difference between them. An example is two job opportunities. Both may appear equally good. Which one do you take?

Of course we should always ask God first. And in prayer, we should always expect God to answer. But how can we know that the answer is truly from God? This Scripture tells us to let peace decide.

The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one body. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15
(Good News Bible)

God sends peace to guide you in all your decisions. When faced with difficult choices, choose the one that gives you peace? When the choices are numerous, choose the one what gives you the most peace? Even when it doesn’t seem to make good sense, you can trust the peace on the inside.

God always leads us down the path of righteousness. It’s the path that pleases Him. And it’s the path that prospers us. It’s the path that makes us successful in all our endeavors. Going down the path of righteousness shall bring peace, quietness, and assurance.

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.
Isaiah 32:17

When you’re faced with choices and you don’t know which way to go. Ask God the Father. Trust Him to answer and He will give you peace concerning your decision.
